I would like to thank you for the amazing information you make available to all interested in dragonflies. I recently discovered your site and have enjoyed numerous visits to it and to one or two of the places you mention. I am very interested in dragonflies in general but have a limited general knowledge which I am trying to improve. Your help is invaluable, THANK YOU.

Hi a good report and interesting to see what you recorded at Ham Wall and Shapwick. I had not realised scarse chaser was at Ham Wall and so was not looking for it when I was there. However on the 3rd I appeared to have photographed a female scarse chaser at the back of walton Heath Ham Wall. I was trying to photograph the four spots that were in there hundreds and must have photographed the scarse chaser wthout realising what I was looking at. Wished I had realsied as would have tried to get more photos of it.

Good report though

Thanks

I'm a relatively new fellow Odonata enthusiast (2 years) and green with envy! I found your site by searching on "Thursley Common" to which I'm planning my first visit this week. Your location clues should prove helpful so thanks for those.

I keep checking my local patch (Bedfordshire) for the first Odonata but nothing so far, though a friend reports "a red damselfly" in Bucks. Maybe I haven't found the right site here yet. It does seem to have been a long winter, doesn't it?

As well as an interest in Odonata, we also seem to share an interest in photography and WordPress blogs. Maybe we could generate each other a little visitor traffic by cross-linking to each other?

All the best,
