Broad Pool
Grid Reference SS 50988 90991
In August 2012, I visited Broad Pool for the first time, following a recommendation from a Flickr contact. My primary interest was in observing the Moorland Hawker, a species that is relatively uncommon in Hampshire.

Broad Pool is a substantial pond situated on the mountain road connecting Cillibion to Reynoldston on the Gower Peninsula, located west of Swansea. In addition to the main pool, there is a smaller, kidney-shaped pond located to the northwest. Furthermore, there are several smaller satellite ponds scattered across the road to the southeast.

All of these features are worthy of exploration, as are the wooded margins that extend further south.
