The River Thames between Goring and Pangbourne are reliable places to witness
the emergence of the Common Club-tail Dragonfly.
Park at
Beale Park and walk east through the gate near the visitor centre to access the river
bank. I find it best to walk south along the shore as far as the
lay-by (now closed)
or north as far as the closed gate, checking the grass and other undergrowth at the waters edge.
