My main reason for visiting Langford Lakes was for the
Kingfisher after a tip from Stewart Canham of the Dorset
Wildlife Trust. Situated along the south bank of the
River Wylye and populated by lakes, a stream and wet
meadow, it provides a reasonable selection of species.
Brown
Hawkers in particular are abundant here, being fond
of the foliage-rich pathways for feeding and roosting. |
